The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.

Here' s how my journey went

My Design Story

When I was confused and figuring out my life at 16 (as one does in high school), I came across psychology and immediately fell in love. Psychology served as a gateway to my interest in UX. I have always been intrigued about people + experiences and I am here to explore how to connect the two.

how it began

My passion for this field has taken me across the world, from my hometown of Karachi to Florida and to Michigan, where I pursued my Master's degree at the University of Michigan's School of Information. Through this program, I gained hands-on experience and learnt about the nuances of User Experience and its importance in creating meaningful experiences for users. Most recently, I worked for Lowe’s Tech as a UxR Intern where I conducted a discovery research project from start to finish. Along with that, I have conducted a number of client based projects where I have run research studies, design projects, analyzed qualitative and quantitative data and presented this data to 200+ people.

what unfolded

I am now a Product Designer with a passion for conducting user-centered research and translating insights into actionable design recommendations. I am dedicated to enhancing digital experiences through a combination of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.

I envision myself working on a big r&d project that benefits not only the users we currently focus on but also those we currently overlook.

I aspire to be a part of something that continues to benefit people for generations to come.

Biggest take away from grad school: Impartiality; at times, it's important to set aside one's expertise, take a step back, empathize with the user, and then approach the problem with fresh perspectives and a deeper understanding."
